Imaging Cerebrovascular Function in the Brain with MRI

Note: This project previously titled "Imaging Amyloid Plaques with High Field MRI".

Principal Investigator: Hanzhang Lu, Ph.D.

The goal of this study is to identify novel objective brain MRI markers that are sensitive to changes in the blood vessels in the brain. This is done by measuring the ability of the brain's blood vessels to dilate. It is hypothesized that these types of markers could be useful in diagnosing small vessel disease in the brain and reflect treatment response.
